Sr. Anne Denomy OSU
Sr. Anne's father, Lawrence Thomas Denomy was a pharmacist who lived most of his life in Chatham Ont. Her mother, Kathleen Harvey Burns was also a Chathamite. Her father’s father was Francis(Frank) Denomy and his mother was Annie (Bedard) Denomy ---both of her grandparents came from St. Joseph.
Sr. Anne was born July 11, 1937 and made her final vows with the Chatham Ursuline Sisters on December 28, 1963. She was trained as a teacher before she entered and education was her life work. Most of her teaching was at Ursuline College Chatham where she taught Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics and was also principal. She was on the Ursuline Leadership team for 2 terms, was Treasurer for the community and now that she is retired she has found new enthusiasm in working with the Alzheimer Society.
