Sr. Rosalie Ducharme (Sr. Mary St. Denis)
Sister Rosalie Ducharme, daughter of the late Alfred and Adelina (Masse) Ducharme was born in St. Joseph, Ontario in 1918. She entered the Ursuline Community in 1933. During her 77 years as an Ursuline Religious she served the Ursuline Community as a Homemaker and Pastoral Worker, visiting hospitals and nursing homes in Chatham, Drumheller, London, Toronto, Windsor and Essex. She also worked with young people in COR. Sister Rosalie entered Eternal Life on Wednesday, July 14, 2010.
DUCHARME, Sister Rosalie (Jeanne Rosalie formerly Sister Mary St. Denis) - entered Eternal Life on Wednesday, July 14, 2010 in Chatham, Ontario. Born in French Settlement, Ontario in 1918, the daughter of the late Alfred and Adelina (Masse) Ducharme. She entered the Ursulines of the Chatham Union in 1933. During those years she served the Ursuline Community as a homemaker and pastoral worker, visiting hospitals and nursing homes in Chatham, Drumheller, London, Toronto, Windsor, and Essex. She also worked with young people in COR. She is survived by a sister, Veronique Papineau and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by brothers, Leo, Hubert, Avila, Blaise, Cyrille, and sisters, Gertrude, Sarah, Albina Ducharme, Alphonsine (Peg) Stansberry, Theresa Hartman, and Sister Priscilla Therese, OSU. |
